A/N: Welcome to Heroes Zero. This little series will be explaining some stuff that I have in the Underworld Arc and the latest arc. Those two are currently on the Anime and Manga respectively as of right now. I feel like we made see this as filler for the anime I hope. This is something that all fans should read. It does give a history to have Fairy Tail came to be in the first place. Lets being our story 112 years before the current time period so no Bob. These episodes are going to be a lot longer.
On Strohx Island in the year X679, the Blood Crush Guild Hall looked different from the ruins on the island. The people inside were enjoying themselves as a young Marie of ten years is sitting there and she was reading a book on the bar table. She looked like she does when older but cutter with her pink hair and blue eyes. She had a huge smile on her face as she was enjoying her books on heroes. A man walked over to her and he slapped the book out of her hands.
The man had black hair and brown eyes. He had a tattoo on the left side of his face. This is the master of the Blood Crush guild Kenton Alder. 'What the hell do you think you're doing? You don't have the right to slack off!" said Kenton. "I'm sorry. I finished cleaning the guild hall so I thought that I could read a book to wait till my next chore." said Marie. The man grabbed her as he said,"You little Shit! I told you to clean the outside as well! Don't be a smart ass!". "I'm sorry. Right away." said Marie.
He let her go as the man said,"You are a really useless slave! Your parents were better workers that you were! They just had to die. I got a cut rate Saffron slave.". He smashed the book with ease with his ice magic and he said,"Are you trying to learn how to read Slave!? You probably can't even read this book!". Marie looked at the destroyed book and one of the members said,"I think she was really trying to learn magic boss.".
Another member said,"You should probably give up kid.". "Get back to cleaning! Om the double!" yelled a member. "You should probably take a shower to get rid of that smell of yours. You stink by the way." said a member. The guild laughed at her as she walked away. "Hey. Who bought you those shoes that you are wearing?" said Kenton."You did Master Kenton." said Marie. "That's right. I have changed my mind. They don't belong to a shit like you." said Kenton.
Marie looked at him and she said,"But this is the only pair that I have.". He yelled,"When I tell you something you do it! No Back Talk! You Useless Idiot!". She later was outside of the guild hall and she was cleaning without shoes. A girl ran past her. She was a year younger than her and she has ice blue hair and green eyes. "Daddy! I'm Home!" said the girl. She jumped into Kenton's arms. He said with a smile,"How was school today Nina?".
Nina said,"It was so boring. Everyone is so stupid.". "That because you're a little genius. Here. I got you some new shoes sweetheart." said Kenton. Marie was nearby as they were talking. "Ew! They are so dirty! I don't need gross shoes like this on me." said Nina. "In that case Nina, lets burn them," said Kenton. "Wait. Don't they belong to Marie? I would have gotten gross gems from her." said Nina. "I am so sorry dear. I will burn them," said Kenton.
Marie looked down at her feet and she was sad but she smiled. "I won't cry. If I do, I won't meet the heroes. A long time ago, mama and papa told me a story. Heroes don't come near cry babies. Papa and mama once worked in the guild but they just recently passed away. I did cry when they died. I learned that mama and papa once worked for this guild and they owed money to the guild. I have to pay back their debts." thought Marie. She is taking to herself by the way.
She was later cleaning the dishes as she thought,"I am trying to learn how to use magic but it's taking a long time because they won't let me read the magic books. I clean, do laundry, and other stuff. It's a lot of hard work but I"m gratified to the master.". She was walking to the barn as she thought,"He gives me somewhere to sleep at night, He gives me food despite it being scraps and he looks over me despite being a jerk. I won't cry until I meet the heroes.".
She looked at the moon as she said,"I want to see them one day. Real heroes.". A loud explosion went off as she fell on the ground. "What was that? It came from the guild." said Marie. She ran outside as she ran toward the guild. She later saw a lot of fighting. "Water Rage is launching an attack on us!" said a member. "Men! Fight Back! Kill Them All!" yelled Kenton. "Yes Sir!" yelled the guild. Marie saw all of this and she was scared.
"In this age, fighting between guilds were common. They usually fought over land and commercial rights." thought Marie. She was walking around the fighting because they were ignoring her due to her being a child. She saw the guild wizards dying around her. She was shocked to see all of this to find Nina trap under some rubble. "Nina!" yelled Marie. She helped her out of the rubble and Nina said,"Marie.".
The two were running out of the town as Marie said,"IF you stay here, you'll get killed! We need to run into the forest!". "Let go of me! I don't want to leave here! I don't want to run! Papa is Here! The Guild is Here! And all of my pretty clothes are here!" yelled Nina. "All of those thing will be in my heart!" yelled Marie. Nina were lost by what she said and Marie said,"My Papa and Mama, my pretty clothes, and even the Heroes will be in my heart! So lets live on!".
Nina said,"I said all of those mean things to you Marie. Why are you being so nice to me?". "I didn't care about that Nina." said Marie. "We could be friends right Marie?" said Nina. Marie smiled as she thought,"Friends.". She turned around as she said,"Of course.". She turned around to see Nina faced down on the floor. Marie looked at her as she said,"Nina. Nina you okay?". She wasn't moving as she said,"Nina! Are you alright?! Nina! Nina!".
Marie thought,"I cried a lot that night. I don't know if I will ever meet the heroes anymore. I return to the village later on. The guild members, the townspeople. Everyone was killed. No one survived the guild war between Blood Crush and Water Rage. This is what happened on Strohx Island in the year X679.". Seven years later, the island was filled with wild animals and no signs of human lives are on the island.
A boat was going on shore. A young man stood there. He had black hair and brown eyes. He smelled the air as he said,"This place is peaceful. This is Strohx island. The air is nice here. I think I should retire here.". This man is Van Payne and he is a future Twelve Wizard Saint. He is also Rank 4 in the group. Another man stood there. He had purple hair and green eyes. This is Bruno Gungnir who is the future second master of Heroes and Wicked Genocide. He also has both eyes.
Bruno said,"Van. We're not here to mess around.". "I know that. I am just joshing you." said Van who lightly punched Bruno. Someone fell out of the boat as he said,"We made it!". Bruno sighed as Van said,"Sleeping Beauty is finally awake.". "I told you guys. It has to be here on this island!" said the person. The person got out at the water as Bruno said,"Which is what again Ryoku?". Ryoku stood there as he said,'The Strohx Gem and we are going to take it.".
This is Ryoku Yagami. He looks a lot like Bob before the Grand Magic Games. He is also the father of Ax Hunter, the grandfather of Arthur Yagami and Mordred Hunter, and the great grandfather to X Hunter, Bob Yagami, Rose Yagami, Ana Yagami, and Scampers Yagami. The three were walking the island as Ryoku said,"So do you know where the gem is?". "You really should studying a map once we get back to the guild hall Ryoku." said Bruno.
Van said,"Somewhere on the island. Is it just me or there a lot of animals around here?". "Yeah. We get to have some of your amazing food Van. I can't wait for dinner tonight. Your food beats guild food any day of the week." said Ryoku. "Indeed." said Bruno. Bruno looked directly ahead of him as he said,"Look.". The three stop in front of a graveyard which had a lot of graves. "Wow. That is a lot of graves." said Ryoku.
Van said,"There must have been a guild here. Those guild wars can get pretty nasty.". "Yeah. They should be a law stopping this." said Bruno. "I feel like it will take a long time before then. I think 4 years at the latest. Want to bet on it?" said Ryoku. The two ignored him as he said,"Man. You two are no fun.". The three walked past the graveyard as Ryoku said,"Lets split up. You know we can cover more ground.". "Fine." said Bruno. He walked off as Van went after him as Ryoku walked off.
Meanwhile, Marie was sitting on a tree branch. She looked like she does in the current day and she is like most anime females. They start out as a cute girl into a beautiful woman. It is law folks. "Today is such a good day!" said Marie. "Marie. You can be a real carefree spirit." said a voice. Marie turned around to see Nina who looked older. Nina said,"You know that we are cleaning out the library today Marie. You do remember right?".
Marie said,"That's right. I totally remember that.". "Yeah. You sure did. You conveniently forgot that but not how to use your magic. We should get going." said Nina. Marie jumped off the tree branch to the ground as Nina said,"Marie. You forget to wear your shoes again. You have the attention span of a gnat sometimes.". "But Nina. The grass feels so nice on me. It is so much fun to be barefoot." said Marie.
Nina looked away as she said,"Hey Marie. Is the reason for you forgetting to wear your shoes all of the time because of what happened back then.". Marie stopped as she remember what Nina said back then. "You did say pretty nasty things." said Marie. "Please don't remind me about back then. I really did hate that." said Nina. "But I have told you this a thousand times. It is okay because we are friends now." said Marie,
Nina smiled as she said,"Thanks Marie.". "You are welcome." said Marie. The two were walking to the library as Marie thought,"7 long years ago, Blood Crush was attacked by Water Rage. The Guild members along with the townspeople were killed. The only two that survived the massacre were me and Nina. It has been just us living here on Strohx Island in peace and quiet.". At the library, the two girls were cleaning when Nina sensed someone.
Marie looked at her while holding some books,"What's wrong Nina?". "Someone is coming Marie." said Nina. "Really? People are come to our island Nina? That makes no sense.". Nina hid behind a bookshelf as Marie said,"Nina.". "I haven't spoken to anyone in seven years. What am I going to do Marie?". "It is like that I don't exist to you." said Marie who sulked. The footsteps got louder as the pink hair girl said,"I got it.". "They're here." said Nina.

She tries to go sleep but a battle between Blood Crush and Water Rage rages on.

Characters:
Marie Saffron. 10 years old in X679 and 17 years old in X686. Our main heroine. She was born and raised on Strohx Island along with working for the Blood Crush guild back in X679 because of her parents debts. She doesn't like to cry because nothing good will happen because of she won't be able to be a hero that the people relay on. She is also childhood friend with Nina. She is very smart along with being very childish. She also a fan of heroes. She is careless, playful, childish, and reckless sometimes. She is indifferent to certain things and she never wears shoes for reasons. She is also very dense when it comes to romance.
Van Payne. Staff User. 22 years old in X686. He is a member of a treasure hunting guild along with Bruno and Ryoku. He is usually seen as the calm between the trio. He is also very good with finding food along with being a good cook. He tries to make jokes but they get stopped by Bruno because the jokes are pretty bad.
Bruno Gungnir. Chain and Hammer User. 20 years old in X686. He is a member of a treasure hunting guild along with Ryoku and Van. He is the best fighter of the trio to say the least. He is also very serious when it comes to work but he cares a lot about his friends despite not showing it. He is usually seem to be the one that Ryoku goes to for advice about stuff due to the man being really smart for his age.
Ryoku Mjonir Yagami. Bomb User. 18 years old in X686. He is a member of a treasure hunting guild along with Van and Bruno. He loves to have fun but when it comes to treasure, he is very serious. He also gets flustered when things doesn't go his way. He is also a hopeless romantic and he hopes to find true love one day. He is also a pretty crafty man when it comes to tricking people. He treasures money, women, and friendship the most. He is also very stubborn and he hates people that cause death. He hates death and he isn't good at handling it. He also hates wizards because they killed his first love. He is a sore loser but it goes away over time.
Nina Alder. 9 years old in X679 and 16 years old in X686. She is the daughter of the guild master of Blood Crush. She is very bubbly and very bright for her age. She also has a mean personality when it comes to be honest. She seems to be aware her actions. She later becomes Marie's best friend when they are older. She later become shy and she is still bubbly with Marie and she can be firm making her serious.
Kenton Alder. Ice Wizard. 40 years old. He is a very cruel and demanding man. He also loves making Marie work for him and he playing games with her. He does have a soft side toward his daughter Nina though.

Strohx Island. The home of Marie Saffron and the Blood Crush Guild.
Items:
Wisdom Terrain. An A Class Treasure. It activates a barrier that makes the people inside of it only able to tell the truth. The people inside cannot answer questions to question that they don't know the answer to.
Strohx Gem. An S Class Treasure and Strohx Island's holy relic. It has a lot of evil magic inside of it making impossible to control and it was sealed away.
Srover. A plant that grows on Strohx Island.
Van Payne. Staff User. 22 years old in X686. He is a member of a treasure hunting guild along with Bruno and Ryoku. He is usually seen as the calm between the trio. He is also very good with finding food along with being a good cook. He tries to make jokes but they get stopped by Bruno because the jokes are pretty bad.

He treasures money, women, and friendship the most. He is also very stubborn and he hates people that cause death. He hates death and he isn't good at handling it. He also hates wizards because they killed his first love. He is a sore loser but it goes away over time.
Nina Alder. 9 years old in X679 and 16 years old in X686. She is the daughter of the guild master of Blood Crush. She is very bubbly and very bright for her age. She also has a mean personality when it comes to be honest. She seems to be aware her actions. She later becomes Marie's best friend when they are older. She later become shy and she is still bubbly with Marie and she can be firm making her serious.
Kenton Alder. Ice Wizard. 40 years old. He is a very cruel and demanding man. He also loves making Marie work for him and he playing games with her. He does have a soft side toward his daughter Nina though.

Strohx Island. The home of Marie Saffron and the Blood Crush Guild.
Items:
Wisdom Terrain. An A Class Treasure. It activates a barrier that makes the people inside of it only able to tell the truth. The people inside cannot answer questions to question that they don't know the answer to.
Strohx Gem. An S Class Treasure and Strohx Island's holy relic. It has a lot of evil magic inside of it making impossible to control and it was sealed away.
Srover. A plant that grows on Strohx Island.
